My first story writing project

I started writing a story. Ever since I found out that some Disney movies were actually based off of stories that were more gruesome than they were in the movies, I decided to write a story of my own. My story is about this girl and her abusive father. Some Disney stories have abusive mothers, but mine has an abusive father. The girls' mother died, so it's just her and her father. One day while she was walking in the woods, a guy a couple years older than her saw her and introduced himself. The guy that she met is going to be someone who gets her out of the situation that she's in. I'm going to have them fall in love and get married and then she'll be free of her abusive father. Her father will also get what he deserves.

Disney has changed several stories to make them more kid friendly, but when I read about the true versions of Cinderella, La Belle et la Bete (or Beauty and the Beast), Snow white, sleeping Beauty and others, I thought it would be interesting to write my own tale. I don't know if I'll ever get it published or if I even want to do anything with the story, but I'm having a lot of fun writing it.

I thought about putting my story here for you all to read, but I decided not to because, even though I'm not going to get it published, I don't want anyone to steal it.
